The scope of our she policy covers all activities related to, maintenance & contract work, transport, delivery and environmental operations of CARBON TWELVE. At CARBON 12 MECHANICAL, safety, health, environmental stewardship and quality are integral aspects of our business. Our ability to deliver quality services & products is coupled to the protection of the health & safety of our employees, clients and all stakeholders affected by our business.
We aim to be a recognised mechanical design, maintenance & onsite installation and management firm in Namibia whilst achieving industry and international standards in Occupational Safety, Health, Environment and Quality performance.
Therefore, we commit ourselves as follows:
• Provide an incident free workplace for our workers at all times, at all sites.
• Deliver a high quality service, meeting or exceeding minimum requirements of our clients, at competitive rates.
• Identify, communicate & control risks in areas of our operations, with the aim of achieving zero incidents of personal injuries, equipment damage and environmental degradation.
• Develop and implement SHEQ strategies for CARBON 12, and when required, align our SHEQ strategies to those of our clients. Our SHEQ management strategies shall be in line with relevant local & international legislation, standards and other requirements.
• Through formal risk assessments as required by company policies and procedures, CARBON 12 will strive to mitigate the impact of any foreseeable hazards, which may endanger health, safety and the environment, or could affect the quality of the services and products we provide.
• Communicate and ensure our safety standards & goals are known & understood at all levels of the firm.
• Provide appropriate on the job training for all staff to ensure that they carry out their work safely.
• Make our safety practices known to our clients, sub contractor's and other stakeholders who may be affected by our business.
• Once annually, review the suitability and effectiveness of our SHEQ policies, systems , targets & objectives.
Responsibility for safety, health, environment and quality within the firm lies with all employees in the firm.
It is the responsibility of individuals to make themselves aware of possible health and safety risks and to take measures to reduce this risk in line with their working environment.
